A UK company that supplies all printing, binding, office supplies, and office machinery for the home and overseas public services. It also publishes and sells government publications, such as White Papers, Acts of Parliament, Central Statistical Office information, Hansard, etc. , at its own bookshops in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, and Belfast. The Stationery Office was founded as His Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO) in 1786. Its name was changed when it was privatized in 1996.
